ANALISIS TINGKAT KEBUTUHAN TOKOH DALAM NOVEL IMAMA AL-HAFIDZH KARYA TRY LYAGUSTINA DAN RELEVANSINYA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN SASTRA

Abstract

This research aims to explore an understand the level of needs of the characters and the relevance of literary learning. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques were carried out using reading and note-taking techniques. Data analysisi uses interactive analysis techniques. The research results show that the level of character needs consists of, (a) physiological needs in the form of food, drink, clothing, shelter, sleep and sexual needs, (b) security needs in the from of freedom from fear and protection, (c) belonging and love needs in the form of love, affection, relationships and family, (d) self-esteem needs in the form of being accepted and appreciated, responsibility and self-confidence, and (e) self-actualization needs in the form of self-development. The relevance of literature learning in high school consists of, (a) relevance in learning, (b) relevance to the age of the students, (c) relevance to the personality of the students, and (d) relevance to the knowledge of the students.
