NILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER TOKOH AYAH PADA NOVEL LAKI-LAKI TANPA TANYA KARYA ISMA’UL AHMAD

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the character education values embodied by the father figure in the novel *Laki-Laki Tanpa Tanya* by Isma’ul Ahmad. Employing a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, the study utilizes data consisting of excerpts and narrative passages that reflect the father figure's character education values, sourced from the novel itself. The data were categorized based on identified aspects and presented in tabular form to facilitate analysis. Subsequently, the data were analyzed using a structural approach in accordance with the adopted theoretical framework. The results indicate that the father figure in the novel embodies five character education values: honesty, discipline, hard work, independence, and responsibility. A total of 68 excerpts were identified across these five values, distributed as follows: honesty (14 excerpts), discipline (13 excerpts), hard work (13 excerpts), independence (9 excerpts), and responsibility (19 excerpts). Responsibility emerged as the most dominant value (19 excerpts), while independence appeared the least frequently (9 excerpts).
